Strandingsmuseum St. George

The wreck museum 'Strandingsmuseet St. George' has its name from the English liner St. George, which sank together with the ship Defence in the year 1811. The main attraction of the museum is the thousands of finds, which have been salvaged directly from the wreck of St. George. But also other wrecks are described here in the shape of photos, models and salvaged finds. Among other things you can experience an exhibition with salvages from the submarine U-59, which was found I the year 2002. Furthermore, the museum shows varying special exhibitions and arranges different activities throughout the year.
