Sporvejsmuseet, Skjoldenæsholm

The tram museum Sporvejsmuseet is located near Jystrup between Ringsted and Roskilde. Here the old tramcars from Copenhagen, Odense and Århus as well as more foreign tramcars roll forwards and back on 2 tram sections. One of the stations is Flemmingsminde. Here you can get out of the tramcar and take a survey of the exhibition in the waiting room, which illustrates the former railway of central Sealand. Next stop is the station Gammel Sparegodtvej, where you can enjoy your the content of your picnic baskets. Tables, benches and parasols are at your disposal here. The terminal station is Eilers Eg, and here you can take a walk in the nearby forest and visit the idyllic lake Hundevad Sø. Before you go back onboard you ought to allow yourselves a cup of coffee or an ice cream, which can be obtained in the dining tramcar at the terminal station.
