Koldinghus

The giant building 'Koldinghus' was erected by order of the Danish king Erik Glipping in the year 1268 and contains collections from the 16th. century and up till today. The sculptures, the old pictorial art and handicraft harmonize conveniently with the weather-beaten buildings, the aristocratic baronial halls and the gloomy dungeons. The recently restored wings are particularly worth a visit!
