Harteværket

In the small village Harte, just west of Kolding, you will find Harteværket, which is the first larger hydroelectric plant in Denmark. At that time electricity was still a luxury item. Harteværket was constructed between 1918 and 1920, and it is still functioning. Great importance was attached to the details during the construction. For that reason, this hydroelectric plant, made out of red bricks, is really worth a visit. Here you can learn more about the interesting history of energy!
