At the old, preserved life saving station from the year 1889 in Sønderho you can experience the horse-drawn lifeboat, which was a vital part of the local community in the earlier days. The lifeboat still contains the old and original equipment. Posters on the spot illustrate some of the dangerous rescues by Sønderho, which were carried out by 12 local, strong and brave men.
