Søfartsudstilling, Rudkøbing

Langeland has always had an active fishery and shipping life. The shipping exhibition 'Søfartsudstillingen' contains information about and objects from the latest 150 years of shipping on Langeland. Learn more about the different types of fishery, like f.ex. pound net fishing, angling and net fishing, and see the tools of the fishery. Equally, you can observe models of fishing vessels, boats and barges. The finds from these boats are also very interesting. Years of diving in the waters around Langeland have brought these finds from the deep of the ocean and out in the daylight. Furthermore, the life, joys and sorrows of the sailors are illustrated here in the most perceptive way.
