Søby Brunkulsmuseum

Today Søby is a nature area with beautiful brown coal lakes, and it is hard to imagine that this area was once characterized by disinterment, from which brown coal was worked. By means of photos, objects and tools you can learn more about that time (1940-1970). Visit the shop 'Butikken 1941' - a grocer's shop, which carries the good from the years 1940-1950, and don't forget to climb up the 30 metres high viewpoint, from which you can enjoy the lovely sight of the scenic area and see all the way to both Herning and Brande.
