Slesvigske Vognsamling

The carriage collection Slesvigske Vognsamling is located in the former factory building of the cloth mill Schaumanns Klædefabrik. The exhibition halls are converted into a modern building, which is suitable for disabled persons, whereas the old factory building is partly preserved. The exhibition displays app. 80 carriages, which were use in the country and in the town respectively. Furthermore, you can learn more about the invention of the wheel (app. 3,500 B. C.) and about the carriage factories of Haderslev.
