Orlogsmuseet

Learn more about the history of the Danish navy by means of ship's models and models of machines and devices, which have been manufactured and used by the shipyard Orlogsværftet or by the naval installations in Copenhagen for the last 300 years. The model collection is considered a treasure - with justice, as it has survived the fires and wars of the years. Furthermore, you can visit the collection, which illustrates the history of the navy from the 17th century and up till today. See artillery, uniforms, ship equipment, instruments, ships, maritime art and photographs. The special exhibition offers collections from other museums - domestic or international. Orlogsmuseet is situated in a beautiful building in the quarter Christianshavn, which has belonged to the navy for 200 years. A shop, in which you can buy maritime souvenirs, literature, postcards and posters belongs to the museum.
