Odsherreds Kunstmuseum

The art museum, which is situated in the idyllic Odsherred, is housed in one of the beautiful houses of Asnæs. The high, light rooms of the house are very suitable for art exhibitions. For more than 150 years artists have been attracted by the exceptional and varying landscape of Odsherred, which also has a quite unique light, and the landscape paintings of the artists characterize the art museum. Experience the close relation between the painting and its place of origin. The purpose of the museum is to illustrate the development of the landscape paintings from their origin and up till today. However, it has to be mentioned that the landscape painting was not an independent genre until the artists stopped painting solemnly for the nobility.
