Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek

Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek was established by the founder of the famous brewery Carlsberg and contains Northern Europe's largest collection of ancient art. First of all you will find sculptures from regions around the Mediterranean here. Egypt, the Middle East, Greece and Italy all had a large influence on the western culture. Admire the works of art from these countries. Furthermore, the museum offers a large collection of Danish and French art from the 19th and 20th century, among these Danish paintings and French Impressionism. The museum has almost 10,000 works at its disposal, and they are sorted according to their geographical affiliation. In Café Glyptoteket, which is located in the winter garden, you can make yourselves comfortable with a piece of fresh-baked cake.
