During the Middle Ages the manor house Sæbygaard belonged to the bishop 'Børglumbispen'. The estate is situated on a square castle mounds, which is accessible from the farm buildings towards north. A stone bridge from app. 1800, which once replaced a wooden drawbridge, leads across the moat. Inside the manor house you can see a collection of paintings with great significance, covering the period from the year 1500 and up till today. A distinguished collection of tableware and napery, partially originating from the end of the 17th century, belongs to the inventory. Furthermore, dinner sets, East Indian porcelain from the 18th century as well as pewter ware from the end of the 17th century are exhibited on the manor house.
