Nationalmuseets Kommandørgård
The old commodore farm is one of Rømø's old and rich ancestral farms. It was build in the year 1748 and bears witness of the prosperity, brought to the island by the commodores (the captains of whalers in the 18th. century). The Rømø farm has been restored, but it is still decorated according to the standards of the time of the building with Dutch tiles on the walls and distinguished interior with i.a. carved woodwork and painted panels. In the yard you can see more exotic souvenirs and navigation instruments.Nationalmuseets Kommandørgård
