Museumsgården, Stege

In a large garden, south of Keldbylille, you will find a 4-sided farm from the 19th century, surrounded by fields. Here you will get an idea of how the old farms on Møn appeared in former times. Behind the whitewashed walls you can faintly see the timber frame. However, time has not been standing still on the farm. The development of the agriculture lead to rebuilding, and as an example the cowshed had to be enlarged and renovated. Follow the development of the agriculture from the agricultural reforms around the year 1800 until the 1930'ies, when the last farmer, Hans Hansen, ran a modern farm with one of the first tractors in the region. The tractor is still parked in the cart shed of the farm. You can also visit the farmhouse with the old furniture in the living room and look inside the wings, where the different agricultural implements are stored. End the museum visit with a walk in the garden and enjoy the view of the Baltic.
