Museet Den Gamle Gaard

The museum has been established in two adjoining merchant's houses, which originate from the beginning of the 18th century. In one of the houses you can admire the fine interior from the 18th and 19th century, like f.x. a hall with rococo decorations on all panelling and an oriel room with Empire decorations from the 1820'ies. Furthermore, you can enjoy the different special collections with objects from the shipping, china, textiles from Lyø and stoneware from Faaborg among other things. In the other house you will find Denmark's largest collection of glass from the glassworks 'Fyns Glasværk' and rooms with special exhibitions.
