Spøttrup Borg

The castle 'Spøttrup Borg' is Denmark's best preserved mediaeval castle. The castle was restored in the year 1941 and today it appears unique, unparalleled, rugged, beautiful and magnificent. 2 of the old wooden bridges lead you over the moats and into the yard. Here you can experience a genuine mediaeval atmosphere when the vitalization and marked days are arranged one the spot. Today, the castle functions as a museum and you can walk around, feel the atmosphere and discover the many room, halls and cellars of the castle. Outside the castle you can enjoy the rose garden as well as a large and historic garden with spices and medicinal herbs.
