Jenle - Nanna & Jeppe Aakjærs hjem
|
|
'Jenle' is the name of the home of Jeppe Aakjær, where the writer created his poems, plays, novels and articles. 'Jenle' means 'lonely' in Jutland dialect and indicates the location of the house by its erection in the year 1906. The house is very scenically situated by the inlet 'Skive Fjord' and functions as a museum today. The home appears as it did when the writer lived here and is also characterized by the wife of Jeppe Aakjær, Nanna, who was a wood carver. Her works decorate the home. In the former farm buildings you will find a permanent exhibition about the life of Jeppe Aakjær, and varying exhibitions are also arranged here.
