Vikingemuseet Ladby

In 1934 the viking ship 'Ladbyskibet' was salvaged together with 11 other and smaller objects, which contained different kinds of grave goods. A chief was buried in his ship together with his horses, dogs and other grave presents in the year 925. Later, the grave was plundered - probably by a rivalling aristocratic family, which tried to prove its power in this way. Visit the ship, which bear witness of long bygone days. Furthermore, you will find an exhibition with different finds from the surrounding area. The museum is closed in December, January and February.
