Krudtværket

Throughout more than 200 years and all the way up till the 1970?ies the powder mill produced gunpowder for military and civilian purposes.
In many years the machines were run with hydraulic power. After the closure of the factory, some of the oldest production buildings were preserved.
Today, these buildings contain the central part of the museum Krudtværksmuseet. With its working machines it is the world?s best-preserved powder mill.
