HEART
HEART, the art museum of Herning, opened in September 2009 in a beautiful art house, designed by the world-renowned architect Steven Holl. The museum is surrounded by geometric gardens, architecture by Utzon and a sculpture by Ingvar Cronhammer. At HEART you can experience a collection, which focuses on Danish and international conceptual and experimental art from the 1960?ies until today. Here you will gain an insight into the art historical development of the period. Some of the artists behind the works are Per Kirkeby, Piero Manzoni, Paul Gadegaard and Sven Dalsgaard.
When you have admired the art and the architecture, you can appease your hunger in the cosy restaurant of the museum and visit the museum shop, which offers unique designs.
