Hammerichs Hus

Hammerichs Hus is one of the best-preserved half-timbered houses from the 18th century in Ærøskøbing. The original partition walls, the narrow stairs and the old fireplaces are preserved. The house was decorated by the sculptor Gunnar Hammerich (1893-1977), and the works of the sculptor can be seen many places on Ærø. In the house you can experience a lovely antiquity collection with 3,000 Dutch tiles as well as Kellinghusen faiences and other domestic utensils from South Jutland and the South Funen archipelago, which originate from the 17th and 19th century.
