Haderslev Bymuseum
The town museum Haderslev Bymuseum is domiciled in a renaissance house from around the year 1580. The special attraction of the museum is the remains of some very rare mural paintings from app. 1680. Antique heros on horseback are illustrated on the paintings among other things. Furthermore, the exhibition informs about the history of the town from the beginning of the Middle Ages and up to the present. Great importance has been attached to the alternating architectural styles of the eras. In the town museum you will also find inspiration for a tour of Haderslev. The original town centre with buildings in all styles from the mediaeval times and up to modern times has been preserved. Next to Haderslev Bymuseum you will find the pottery collection Ehlers Lertøjssamling, which contains Northern Europe's largest collection of earthenware.
