Guldborgsund Museum

The museum is situated in a half-timbered house from the middle of the 17th. century and contains exhibitions, which illustrate the time from the antiquity and up till today, as well as a museum shop. At the museum you can learn more about development of the peasant and town culture on Falster throughout the last centuries. The exhibition contains a rowboat from the sound 'Guldborgsund', an ore pot from Nykøbing Falster with the signature of the bell founder, a incense vat from northern Falster, eyes for cerements from Stubbekøbing, iron knives from Systofte and a large collection of pottery, mediaeval large bricks etc. Furthermore, you can experience an old street environment from the end of the 19th. century, which has been constructed on the museum.
