Give-Egnens Museum

This regional museum focuses on modern times - the latest centuries. However, themes from the antiquity are dealt with in special exhibitions. Both the objects from the permanent and the special exhibitions are shown in their original cohesion in order to describe the past as realistic as possible. The permanent exhibition is constructed around a moorland farm with yard, farmhouse, stable and barn. Here you can learn more about the agriculture of that time - from peat-digging to domestic duties. The old crafts, known from the agriculture, forges, coachbuilders, carpenter, bricklayers and coopers are demonstrated in another department of the museum. Furthermore, the old classroom, the historic kitchen and the textile department are very interesting.
