At the museum opposite the castle Tranekær Slot the story of the castle and life in the small town Tranekær is illustrated. Here you can admire inventory from the castle, which used to be a stronghold, for which reason its walls are 3 metres thick. The museum has been established in a former laundry, and here you can also see the exhibition about the past work conditions as well as wash and iron routines.
