Fjerritslev Bryggeri- & Egnsmuseum

The museum 'Fjerritslev Bryggeri- og Egnsmuseum' is situated in the centre of the town Fjerritslev and is Northern Europe's best preserved rural brewery. The brewery still stands as if the brewers had just left it with the more than 100 years old brewing coppers, fermenting tubs and beer barrels. The museum also contains a malt house and a bottling hall. During the years 1897-1968 thousand of litres of Bavarian beer were tapped here for Carlsberg. The old bottle filling machines can still be seen on the museum. I the private residence you can experience the small living rooms of the brewer family with furniture and inventory from the beginning of the 20th. century. The museum also contains a classroom, a doctor's consultation, a textile collection, a regional and historical collection tools as well as a collection of household utensils.
