Fattighuset i Sammelstedby

The well-preserved poorhouse was built in the year 1816 and used until 1989. Today the house functions as a small museum about the history of the settlement of paupers. Outside the house you can see the stone 'Blicherstenen' - a monument in honour of the writer Steen Steensen Blicher, as he wrote about this exact house in his short story 'Keltringeliv' (the life of a tinker).
