Esbjerg Kunstmuseum

At the art museum Esbjerg Kunstmuseum you will find a large selection of Danish pictorial art and sculptures, covering the period from 1920 and up to present times. The museum contains one of the best Danish collections of contemporary art. You can experience works of f.x. the art group Cobra (established in 1948 in Paris), Richard Mortensen, Robert Jacobsen, Svend Wiig Hansen, Per Kirkeby as well as representatives of the latest art. Furthermore, there is access to the non-exhibited works of art in the open storage houses, and here you can also find the fragrance installation Wittgensteins Have (the garden of Wittgenstein) by the artists Skeel & Skriver. Esbjerg Kunstmuseum shares its vestibule with the music house Esbjerg Musikhus - an architectonic masterpiece!
