Det Gamle Apotek

Visit the old pharmacy 'Det Gamle Apotek' in Rudkøbing, whose story dates all the way back to 1705, and become acquainted with herbs, dragon's blood, birdseed and naphthalene, which are just some of the goods that were formerly sold in the pharmacy. The exhibition contains 2 pieces of shop furniture: A painted, blue and black piece from the middle of the 18th century an a dark, varnished piece from the end of the 19th century. Furthermore, you can experience a steam laboratory from around the year 1900 with copper kettles, rinsing room and ointment grinders. In the old pharmacy garden you can smell the many rare plants. A visit to the pharmacy must be arranged in advance.
