Danmarks Fotomuseum

'Danmarks Fotomuseum' contains a collection of cameras and photo historical effects. Here you can experience the more than 160 years old story of the camera, described in decades. In the large exhibition rooms, a number of permanent exhibitions deal with the story and the development of the camera as well as the photographic techniques and its capacities. Se i.a. different types of cameras, a photographic studio from around 1900, the first Japanese cameras, stereoscope and miniature cameras, exhibition cases with film cameras and projectors, a collection of photographs of the fairy-tale poet H.C. Andersen, a great panoramic colour picture of Copenhagen with a size of 1 x 12 metres, a large collection of visiting card and cabinet card pictures and the earliest photographies - daguerreotypes and ambrotypies. Varying photo exhibitions of Danish and foreign photographers are arranged throughout the year in the photo gallery of the museum.
