Oldemorstoft - Museum Sønderjylland

The name Oldemorstoft is the name of the old farm in Bov, which originates from the 15th century. In the farmhouse you can see a monopoly letter from 1528, which confirms the rights of the farm owner, and read about the history of the farm. Furthermore, you will find small exhibitions about the military road Hærvejen, Padborg as a railway town, and the poet Karsten Thomsen from Frøslev.
The museum exhibits in 3 'pyramids'. In the two largest you can see an extensive collection of farm machinery, which are all a part of the Southern Jutland agricultural history. Through computers in the collection you have access to the historic hike and bicycle guide 'With Smartphone and hiking boots'.
In the smallest pyramid you will find the exhibition 'Frontier guard 1920-2010'. Objects, photos and texts tell about the frontier gendarmerie, which has now been abolished, and about the tasks of the customs authorities and the police by the border.
