Bredfjeld is situated on the southern coast of Lolland in scenic nature surroundings. This holiday area offers peace and quiet.
 The holiday house area of Bredfjeld is a calm and cosy holiday destination for the whole family. Here you can both relax in the peaceful nature and be active on the beach, in the nearby water world or with the fishing rod and the golf club.
Just west of Bredfjed you will find the small holiday area Kramnitse with the cosy fishing harbour. Here it is possible to buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats.
A few km towards east, the town Rødby Havn offers good shopping possibilities and more restaurants.
Beach
Bredfjed has a good bathing beach with coarse sand, sheltering dunes and Blue Flag. The shallow water makes the beach suitable for children.
Nature
 A couple of km behind the coast you will find the beautiful forest 'Kristianssæde Skov' with many walking paths. The northern part of Lolland is rich in forest areas and has a rich animal life.
In the nature park 'Maribosøerne' you can walk in the scenic landscape or go sailing on one of the four lakes, where you can observe a rich bird life.
The landscape, surrounding Bredfjed, is level and characterized by beach, dunes and meadows. A number of scenic walking and bicycle paths are available close to the sea. You can i.a. follow the 40 km long path 'Digesti', which leads you from Rødbyhavn to Albuen along the strait 'Femeren Bælt'.
Activities
You can go on a cosy sail on the lakes of Maribo.
Golf players can try out the courses of the two golf clubs 'Vestlollands Golfklub' by Nakskov and 'Golfklubben Maribo Sø' by Maribo.
Lolland is a paradise for anglers, as you can fish both directly from the shore, in the Put & Take fishpond by Dannemare or go deep-sea fishing onboard a fishing vessel. The ship M/S Emanuel sails frequently out from Rødbyhavn.
Worth a visit
The former barracks 'Polakkasernen' in Tågerup are now a museum, and here you can get an insight into the life and work of the Polish women, who worked in the beet fields (12 km).
Visit the small town Kramnitse, which is situated about 15 km towards east. Sense the atmosphere in the small idyllic harbour, where you can buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats.
The estate 'Søholt Gods' is situated close to Maribo, and here you can visit the uniquely preserved baroque garden.
In 'Knuthenborg Safaripark' by Maribo the wild animals move around in their natural surroundings - right around your car or bus. Observe giraffes, rhinos, ostriches, antelopes, zebras and Siberian tigers at close range (20 km).
Excursion spots
Visit the pretty old marked town Maribo. Here you can experience the cosy atmosphere, music, marked days, interesting shops, sights and restaurants (25 km).
The open-air museum 'Frilandsmuseet' in Maribo is situated right by the lake ¿Maribo Sø¿ and consists of a few houses, a farm, a post mill and a school. The museum gives you an impression of the peasant culture and the architectural style of the area around the year 1800.
The museum railway 'Museumsbanen Maribo-Bandholm' has since 1962 been driving by means of Denmark's oldest functioning steam locomotive from 1879.
By Nysted you will find the castle 'Aalholm Slot', the forest 'Aalholm Skov' and the automobile museum 'Aalholm Automobil Museum', which displays about 200 interesting cars from the year 1886 and up till today (36 km).
'Middelaldercentret' is an open-air museum by Sundby, where an authentic village from the 12th. century with houses, workshops, ships, vessels and a catapult has been created (51 km).
