Ole Hartvig

Pay a visit to Ole Hartvig, a painter and woodcarver, who attach great importance to his trade and the quality of his work. Ole Hartvig lives on the small island Ærø, and the artist doesn't only make sure that the ships are equipped with signs and wooden decorations. Furthermore, he creates old, very artistic signs for the shops, which are housed in the beautiful old buildings of the island. These signs are partly gilted. Hovever, the artist can express himself even better when he creates his wooden sculptures, for which he preferably use Danish types of wood like oak, lime, yew and hickory.
