Højers Ravsliberi

The amber grindery 'Højers Ravsliberi' is located in the small idyllic village Mygdal, close to the roaring waves of the North Sea. The workshop with long family traditions was established in 1932. Today, the couple Gerda and Benni Højer manages the shop, but during busy periods the rest of the family takes a share in the work as well. No matter if the amber is being grinded, polished or mounted in silver, it is inspired by nature's own shapes and colours. All amber ornaments, which are sold in the amber grindery, are made from genuine amber, nickel free sterling silver (925) or real gold (14 carat / 585). Here you can be tempted by necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, brooches and sleevelinks among other things. Furthermore, ornament repairs are carried out here - and while your wait, you can take a look around in the interesting exhibition, which contains unusually large lumps of amber as well as lumps with insects or in special colours (fx black, white or bluish).
