Hornvarefabrikken

Formerly, the spoon was the only kind of cutlery in the country, and the manufacturing of horn spoons has taken place since the 19th century. Today, the raw material - horns from oxen - is imported from Africa. Many processes are associated with the manufacture, as every product is processed about 20 times by the craftsmen. Visit the factory of Hornvarefabrikken and experience the old craft traditions, where the beautiful raw materials are worked into beautiful articles for everyday use. Visit the sales exhibition with objects, made out of horn and pottery. Hornvarefabrikken is the only place in Denmark that still manufactures horn products.
