Karin Sauer

The skilled potter Karin Sauer preferably works with the traditional Japanese raku technique, which enables her to create an amazing intensity by means of simple materials. Usually cracks in the glazing are considered a defect, but within the raku technique the cracks are made on purpose in order to generate depth and lambency in the pottery.
