Nab – Bathing holiday in beautiful scenery by the inlet Faaborg Fjord
 Holiday in a holiday home in Nab means staying in the immediate vicinity of a lovely beach by Faaborg Fjord and activities for the entire family in a short distance from the holiday home. Groceries are available within a distance of 1 km. Only 8 km from your holiday home you will find the idyllic market town Faaborg with good shopping opportunities, various restaurants and interesting museums, which tell you about the old medieval town.
During your holiday you can swim at the lovely beaches, keep fit with activities like tennis, petanque and mini golf, and explore the scenic area surrounding your holiday home. The hilly forests invite for walking, and from different hillocks you can admire the 'Sydfynske Øhav', the Southern Funen Archipelago.
But also bird lovers may have many experiences in the surroundings of Nab.
Try also to make an outing outside the area of your holiday home - visit Odense, the hometown of Hans Christian Andersen, or one of the numerous castles on Funen.
Beach
Less than 1 km from your holiday home is the beach 'Nab Strand', which has a sandy bottom and some stones. Here you will find parking lots, toilets and a bathing jetty. Motoring is allowed on the beach.
The beach 'Klinten Strand' in Faaborg (6 km) is a lovely beach with a sandy bottom, deep water and Blue Flag.
The beach ''Sinebjerg Strand' 16 km) is also a nice beach, which is suitable for children, and here you can rent boats and kayaks (5 km towards south).
Nature
 Faaborg is surrounded by green and fertile nature with hills, forests and water.
Especially the forest landscape 'Svanninge Bakker' (10 km) is worth visiting. From the hills you will have an amazing view of south-western Funen and the Southern Funen Archipelago. Here you will also find a biking path and many walking paths.
Brændegård Sø, is a large lake with a rich bird life, and if you are lucky, you can observe white-tailed eagles (12 km).
The forest 'Sollerup Skov', (5 km north of Faaborg), is situated in a scenic and undulating area with old conifers and deciduous trees.
The preserved area 'Bøjden Nor' (18 km) is a bird sanctuary, where about 50 different species of birds can be observed, and from an observation shelter you can experience the bird life at close range. If you are lucky, you can observe porpoises on their way through the Little Belt.
Activities
In Faaborg you can play tennis in scenic surroundings, play petanque and minigolf as well as make use of the town's swimming baths with i.a. hot water pool, sauna and solarium.
From Faaborg you can also take the ferry to the islands of Ærø, Avernakø and Lyø.
The area, surrounding your holiday home, is very scenic and ideal for bicycle trips and walks along the many paths. Walk for example from the forest Sollerup Skov to the largest lake of Funen, Arreskov Sø (approx. 2 km’s walk).
Golf players can make use of the course of Faaborg Golfklub, which is one of Denmark's most beautiful courses with 18 challenging holes (12 km)!
Anglers can either go coastal fishing or deep-sea fishing with a fishing vessel - or visit the Blue Rock, Denmark’s largest Put & Take fishing pond (16 km).
In Sinebjerg (16 km) you can rent boats and kayaks.
Worth a visit
 In the 17,000 square metres large garden 'Blomsterhaven Strandlyst', only a few hundred meters from your holiday home, you can experience a water landscape, a Japanese teahouse, a gorge, a stone cave, a passage grave and more hillocks, from which you can enjoy the sight of the South Funen archipelago.
You can also visit the idyllic small market town Faaborg with cobbled streets, beautiful town houses and old merchant's houses, a cosy and vivid harbour, more craftsmen, many cultural sights as well as good shopping opportunities and various restaurants.
In Faaborg you can visit the prison museum 'Faaborg Arrest' with an exhibition about punishment from the Middle Ages and up till today, the belfry 'Faaborg Klokketårn', the town's landmark, and the miniature town 'Faaborg Miniby', a copy of Faaborg as it appeared in 1900 in the scale 1:10. 'Faaborg Museum for Fynsk Malerkunst' exhibits a beautiful collection of paintings and sculptures, created by Funen artists.
Excursion spots
At the experience centre 'Naturama' you will get to learn more about the history of nature - in a very special way. You can find stuffed animals in water, on land and in the air, organised with sound- and light effects, dramatical films and beautiful pictures. You will be able to get very close to elks, wild boars, bears, wolves and birds from dawn till sunset with a background of a starry sky at night (21 km).
The beautiful castle 'Egeskov Slot''by Kværndrup is famous for being the best preserved moat castle in Europe. See the park with the many different beautiful gardens, interesting museums e.g. the Veteran Car Museum with aircraft and motor vehicles and of course the noble chambers (28 km).
