Midskov is situated in a scenic area on the peninsular Hindsholm by the bay of Odense, north of the towns Kerteminde and Munkebo.
 The holiday house area by Midskov is calm, cosy and scenic, and invites many lovely nature experiences. Here you can have an active holiday, relax or experience some of the sights of the area. It is possible to buy groceries in the area, and I Kerteminde (9 km) and Munkebo (11 km) you will find good shopping possibilities, restaurants, culture and attractions.
Beach
Midskov is situated right by the bay 'Odense Bugt' and a sandy beach is available right by the holiday house area. However, the water is rather deep and there is a stony bottom. If you wish to swim by a beach, which is suitable for children, you can visit the beach 'Kerteminde Nordstrand', a few km towards south-east. Here the water is shallow and clear, the bottom is sandy and the beach has the Blue Flag. The conditions for windsurfing are ideal here.
Nature
 The nature, surrounding Midskov on the peninsular Hindsholm is very scenic and unique with i.a. 'Fyns Hoved' (the tip of Funen), beaches, hills, picturesque villages, large manor houses and more relics. By the preserved area 'Fyns Hoved' the magnificent nature is characterized by beach, a cliff, a point, moors, forest and a rich bird and animal life. From here you can enjoy the view of the sea and on a clear day, all the way to the island Samsø, Jutland and Sealand.
A number of marked walking paths are available in the area.
The island Romsø in the Great Belt is also worth a visit. This pearl of natural history offers i.a. a wild and thick nature with a large population of fallow deer.
Activities
Anglers have extraordinarily good opportunities for a haul along the coasts of the area. Furthermore it is possible to go deep-sea fishing onboard a fishing vessel from Kerteminde. From the harbour of Kerteminde you can sail out to the scenic island Romsø.
A number of golf courses are available in Funen, and the courses of 'Sct. Knuds Golfklub' in Nyborg, which is a scenic park and forest course, as well as those of 'Odense Golfklub' and 'Odense Eventyr Golf Klub' are the ones, which are situated closest to Midskov.
In Kerteminde you can play tennis, petanque and minigolf, waterski, dive and play beach-volley.
The lovely nature and the idyllic landscapes make Hindsholm an ideal area for bicycle rides.
Worth a visit
The 1,000-year-old Kerteminde is a vivid and charming commercial town with a fishing harbour, a large and cosy marina, interesting shops, restaurants and sights. You will sense the quite special atmosphere in the narrow alleys with the colourful small houses, the old merchant's houses and the red roofs (9 km).
In the aqua centre 'Fjord- & Bæltcentret' in Kerteminde you can experience the mysteries of the sea, seen with the eyes of a diver, from a 50 metres long underwater tunnel or get close to porpoise from the outdoor bridge.
'Farvergården' in Kerteminde was originally an old merchant's house from the year 1630. The museum contains a living room from a farm house and from a middle class house from the year 1850.
Next to the still functioning mill 'Svanemøllen' you can visit the museum 'Johannes Larsens Museet', where works of art, created by Johannes Larsen and other Funen painters, are exhibited. Kerteminde is rich in galleries.
Excursion spots
The area, surrounding Kerteminde, contains more properties and manor houses.
Viby on Hindsholm is one of the most well-preserved villages in Funen with half-timbered houses and a newly restored mill, which is running during the summer (10 km).
Visit the home town of H.C. Andersen, Odense, a modern and evocative town with a number of leisure potentialities (24 km).
In Odense Zoo you can see a special chimpanzee department and a large 'Oceanarium'. 'Den Fynske Landsby' by Odense is an open-air museum, showing a Funen village environment from around the year 1850.
The beautiful castle 'Egeskov Slot' by Kværndrup has a beautiful garden, a giant maze and more museums (48 km).
'Fun Park Fyn' in Aarup contains is a water world, farm animals as well as various amusements for the whole family. When the entry has been paid for, you can make use of all activities as much as you like (54 km).
