The holiday house area Båring Strand is scenically situated between beach, forest and fields.
 Båring Strand lies in cove 'Båring Vig' on north-western Funen, 12 km from Middelfart and the Little Belt Bridge. Båring Strand is a quiet and cosy holiday area - an ideal destination for nature lovers and anglers.
It is possible to buy groceries in the village Båring, which is situated a couple of km inland behind the holiday house area.
Beach
You will find a lovely sandy bathing beach with Blue Flag by Båring. The beach is very suitable for children as the water is calm and shallow. If you wish to swim in deeper water, you can make use of the bathing jetty by the beach. The waters in the cove 'Båring Vig' is a good surf spot. It is also possible to sail out from the beach in a small boat.
Nature
The forest 'Båring Skov' is situated right down to the water, just east of the beach in Båring. Coast and fields characterize the nature, surrounding the forest. On the other side of the forest, the coastal hillsides are steep.
Activities
The fishing opportunities are good along the shore - especially towards east and the beach 'Varbjerg Strand' - and on the sea onboard a fishing vessel or a rented boat. Furthermore, a number of Put & Take fishponds are available in the area.
Golf players can try out the course by the club 'Golfklubben Lillebælt' in Middelfart.
In the forest by Båring you will find more marked walking paths. Lovely nature experiences await you along the bicycle paths of the area.
Worth a visit
The castle 'Hindsgavn Slot' is situated in Middelfart, right at the Little Belt, and surrounded by forest. Visit the scenic park, belonging to the castle, with the many rare trees and bushes.
The beautiful white castle 'Wedellsborg Slot' is situated in Husby, and there is access to the castle park with fallow deer, lakes as well as rare trees and plants.
In the forest 'Kongebroskoven' by Middelfart you can visit an animal park.
By the mill 'Brende Mølle' in Tanderup you will find on of the prettiest fish ladders in Denmark.
Excursion spots
Visit Middelfart with its cosy cafés, the marina, the museums and the many interesting shops. The town is scenically situated right by the Little Belt and surrounded by forest.
'Fun Park Fyn' in Aarup is a water world and amusements for the whole family. When the entry has been paid for, you can make use of all activities as much as you like. Visit the home town of H.C. Andersen, Odense, a modern and evocative town with a number of leisure potentialities in the shape of music, theatre, shows on the squares of the town, pedestrian streets, cafés, restaurants and pubs (45 km).
In Odense Zoo you can meet with mammals, insects, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles. A versatile animal world awaits you here.
'Den Fynske Landsby' by Odense is an open-air museum, showing a Funen village environment from around the year 1850.
