Aborg is situated on the west coast of Funen with a view to the island Bågø, in calm and scenic surroundings.
 The holiday house area of Aborg is scenically located. The holiday area is ideal if you wish to fish, study birds, walk, ride a bicycle or just enjoy the peaceful nature.
It is possible to buy groceries in Aborg, and from here the distance to the charming old market town Assens is only 5 km. From Assens you can sail out to the small and cosy island Bågø.
Beach
A good beach, which is also suitable for children, is available by Aborg. The nearby beaches 'Feddet Strand', 'Mariendal Strand' and 'Assens Næs' are all lovely beaches and suitable for children as well. By Assens the conditions are good for windsurfers.
Nature
The marsh area and bird sanctuary 'Emtekær Nor' is lies only a few km north of Aborg and is visible from the beach by 'Sandager Næs'.
In the forest grounds in Assens you can walk around the forest lake.
The forest 'Krengerupskovene' by Glamsbjerg has a number of marked walking paths (18 km).
The peninsula 'Helnæs' is situated about 21 km south of Aborg and connected to western Funen by a small dam. The varied landscape of the peninsula is a nature experience in a class by itself.
Activities
Anglers have good possibilities for a haul along the shores by the Little Belt and in the Put & Take fishponds of the area.
Equally it is very popular to drive on a cycle trolley in this area. The route begins and ends in Assens and leads you by vigorous landscapes, fields, forests and small towns.
Tennis courts and minigolf courses are available in Assens.
Golf players can choose between many courses on Funen. The closest courses are the ones by `Vestfyns Golfklub¿ close to Glamsbjerg (18 km), 'Golfklubben Lillebælt' close to Middelfart (38 km) and 'Fåborg Golfklub' (40 km).
The varying landscape, surrounding Aborg, invites bicycle trips and walks.
Worth a visit
Assens is an 800-years old marked town with Denmark's most beautiful street. In the charming and very well-preserved town centre you will find merchant's houses and gable house in timber frames. But Assens also has modern buildings, shops and a cosy marina (7 km).
The museum 'Willemoesgårdens Mindestuer' in Assens shows a shipping collection with ship's models, paintings, figureheads, and weapons a.s.o.
In Ebberup, 11 km from Aborg, you will find the following sights: The mediaeval castle 'Hagenskov', where it is possible to experience an old dungeon. 'Gl. Alvernæs', a beautiful Funen manor house with a characteristic tower and surrounded by park and forest.
In general the area is rich in manor houses.
Excursion spots
A small ferry sails daily from Assens to the island Bågø, which is an idyllic and scenic island.
'Fun Park Fyn' in Aarup is a water world and amusements for the whole family. When the entry has been paid for, you can make use of all activities as much as you like (17 km).
Visit the terrarium in Vissenbjerg 'Vissenbjerg Terrariet'. Here in the largest terrarium in Scandinavia you will meet with reptile and amphibian from the whole world (21 km).
'Frydenlund Fuglepark' by Tommerup is a lovely nature park with 700 birds from all over the world, waterholes, aviaries and a 2 km long walking path, which leads you under large old trees and out on the open savannah (29 km).
Visit the home town of H.C. Andersen, Odense, a modern and evocative town with a number of leisure potentialities in the shape of music, theatre, shows on the squares of the town, pedestrian streets, cafés, restaurants and pubs (43 km).
