Fjord- og Bæltcentret is a setting for both amusement and earnestness. The audience can e.g. experience the mysteries of the ocean - seen through the eyes of a diver - in the 50 m long under water tunnel. You can get into close contact with crabs, starfish and Danish fish. The biggest crowd puller is the porpoises - also called the mini whales of Denmark. Watch the porpoises get fed - either from the outdoor bridge or from the long under water tunnel. Fjord- og Bæltcentret keeps the porpoises in order to do research in their behaviour and to communicate the knowledge about the living conditions of the propoises in the Danish waters. As an example is it the hope of the researchers that in the future, fewer porpoises end up in the nets of the fishermen.
