Nordsøen Oceanarium

See the residents of the North Sea in the aquariums, observe the seals being fed in the 800,000 litres large outdoor sealarium, look into the microscope, ask the biologists and touch fish as well as other marine animals. 'Oceanariet' is especially designed for the shoal forming and pelagic fish - fish that are not attached to the sea floor. The oceanarium holds no less than 4.5 million litres of water in order to provide the fish with space for their natural behaviour. Here you will come close to the inhabitants of the North Sea, like f.x. mackerels, herrings, fearful sharks and many more. At Nordsøen Oceanarium you can enjoy the delicious seafood in the café Ocean Caféen or the content of your own lunch basket.
In the shop you will find interesting souvenirs like 'cuddly toys' from the sea, shells, snail shells, sea urchin, starfish, t-shirts, books and films.
