Hjemsted Oldtidspark

Hjemsted Oldtidspark is located in Skærbæk, right by the marshland and close to the dam, which leads to the Wadden Sea island Rømø. In the 1,000 square metres underground museum you will learn more about the life of the peasants and warriors about 2,000 years ago. Their graves can be observed in the floors and along the walls you will be informed about their daily life. A glimpse out over Europe explains how luxury goods found their way to Hjemsted. The museum also contains a video cinema as well as a story cave. Furthermore, Hjemsted Oldtidspark offers a large and interesting activity and experience park with markets, a farm, catapults and reconstructions. You are also welcome to visit the restaurant and the museum shop of the park.
