Gimlegaard

At the farm Gimlegaard near Brønderslev you can experience viking life at close quarters.
Here you might imagine yourselves back in the past - everything is done in a slightly slower pace and everything is made from the bottom. For several years the lady of the farm, Marianne, and the youngest son, Johannes, have been bitten with viking. As time went on the ?chief? of the farm, Jan, became enthusiastic about vikings as well, and by now, the whole Rasmussen family is involved in the experience centre Gimlegaard.
Look forward to the hospitality of the ?viking family? and try some of the activities on the farm ? you can f.ex. play viking plays, work with wickers, dye wool and forge.
Furthermore, you can enjoy music, dancing and mountebanks or bargain with the vikings at the fairground if you are interested in buying home-made handicraft or object from viking raids. The café of Gimlegaard offers light dishes, prepared with the primary produce of the season.
