Søgaards Bryghus

At the square C.W. Obels Plads in Aalborg, Claus and Lisa Søgaard have established a microbrewery, which functions as brew-house, restaurant, bar and shop. The ground floor contains 2 large copper kettles, which provide a lovely scent of hop, a restaurant, a bar and the pub 'Kedlen'. The actual brewery is located in the basement. Here you can follow the brewing process through the glass wall and see directly into the open fermenting tubs. The beer is brewed with the best primary produce: malt from a malt house in Belgium, hop from an English wholesaler and carefully selected yeast strains. In order to secure the best taste the beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized, and no artificial additives are used.
8 types of beer are brewed here: Jomfruhumle, Naverbryg, LOA, Klosterbryg, Skipper Stowt, Pearl of India, C.W. and Madam Wit. The restaurant serves dishes, cooked with the primary produce of the season. The shop offers exquisite meat, cold cuts, chocolate, coffee, mash bread and beer.
