Glenholm Vingård
|
|
Wine has been produced on this scenically situated vineyard by the Liim Fiord since 1993, and in 2006 Glenholm Vingård was recorded as Northern Jutland's first commercial vineyard. The farm has an elevated location and is surrounded by vine. The soil consists of layers of mould, moraine clay, sand, gravel, chalk and flint, which provide good conditions for wine growing. The Danish grapes bloom in July, they ripen during the summer and autumn, and usually they are picked in October and graded by hand. The wine is produced according to classical methods in the vinery of Glenholm. The following wines are made here: Bueto, a dry red and white wine, and Limosa, a sweet dessert wine. In July, August and September two weekly tours of the premises are arranged. During the tour you can visit the vineyards, learn more about grape types, winegrowing and viticulture in Denmark. You can also see the production and taste the wines. A tour with wine tasting lasts 2 hours and costs DKK 85 p.p.
