Fiskehuset

Every morning, the owner of Fiskehuset, Per Toft Jensen, purchases fresh fish on Denmark's largest fish auction in Hanstholm. The fresh fish are prepared immediately after the arrival to the shop, and year round Fiskehuset offers a large selection of fresh fish, smoked food from its own smokehouse, freshly sliced and boneless fillets, home-made delicacies like f.ex. the marinated herring THY-Sild and the sausage THY-Pølsen with just 0.5 grams of fat as well as ready-prepared dishes and sushi. In the smokehouse of Fiskehuset the fish are dry-salted according to old-fashioned methods in order to give the fish even more taste, and the employees put their heart and soul into preparing high-quality articles. The friendly staff in the shop is ready to help you with advise regarding the cooking and hands out free recipes. During the summer it is possible to dine outside while you enjoy the view of the harbour and the inlet.
