Voergård Slot

The castle 'Voergård Slot' is scenically situated in the eastern part of the area Vendsyssel, surrounded by Denmark's widest moat. On the castle you can experience an extensive collection of European art, like f.x. works of Goya, Rubens, Raphael and El Greco. Many myths have been connected with castles, and it is said that Ingeborg Skeel is haunting this castle and that you can still hear the prisoners complain in the dungeons. Every year mediaeval days are arranged on the castle, and here you can experience street performers, monks, soldiers, hucksters a.s.o. from the Middle Ages and taste food and drinks from these days.
