Augustenborg Slot

The castle 'Augustenborg Slot' is situated in the innermost cove by the inlet 'Augustenborg Fjord'. The castle was erected in the 1770'ies and formerly it functioned as the headquarters for the duke family of Augustenborg. The garden hall and the workroom of the duke can be experiences on a tour of the castle. Furthermore, you can experience the church and the mini museum, which has been established in the gatehouse of the castle. Here you can see a small exhibition about the castle, the town and the history of the duke family. Outside the castle invites the palace garden to a walk.
