Mennesket ved Havet

The Danish graphic artist Svend Wiig Hansen has made the beautiful sculptures out of white concrete, and they are placed by the beach, just north of Esbjerg. The sculptures delineate the pure and innocent person's meeting with nature - before it rises and starts to 'act'. The identical faces stare out over the sea and give an almost divine impression. In clear weather the sculptures can be seen from a distance of no less than 10 km.
